Historic Projects
King Edwards Wharf, Birmingham
KING Edwards Wharf set the standard for urban residential living within Birmingham, achieving overall winner of the Birmingham Post and Mail Design Awards 2001.
The £28 million scheme regenerated a formerly run-down industrial site, including the sensitive restoration of two Grade II listed Victorian Buildings fronting Sheepcote Street.
The scheme comprised 108 apartments and penthouses overlooking the canal network Brindley Loop located just a short canal walk away from the International Convention Centre, National Indoor Arena and Brindley Place in the heart of Birmingham.
King Edwards Wharf phase II comprised the sister scheme located directly across the canal. Incorporating approximately 135 apartments, this £29m project is linked to the first phase by a dramatic pedestrian suspension bridge.
Will’s responsibilities covered all aspects of day to day project management assisting in the delivery of these two award winning schemes.
